Smart naming strategies
✅ Good site names
- • “Personal Portfolio”
- • “Client: TechCorp”
- • “SaaS Inspiration”
- • “E-commerce Research”
- • “Side Project: TaskApp”
- • “Design System Examples”
Clear, descriptive, and you'll know exactly what's inside!
❌ Confusing site names
- • “Site 1”
- • “Random Stuff”
- • “Website”
- • “John's Thing”
- • “Project Alpha”
- • “Untitled”
You'll forget what these are in a week! Be specific.
Managing your sites
Once you've created sites, you can view, edit, or delete them. Here's what a typical site list looks like:
Personal Portfolio
Client: TechCorp
Design Inspiration
Client: StartupXYZ
💡 Pro tips for site management:
- •Color coding: Each site gets a unique color automatically for easy visual identification
- •Screenshot counts: See how many screenshots each site has at a glance
- •Quick actions: Edit names, view screenshots, or delete sites with hover buttons
- •Archive old projects: Delete sites for completed projects to keep your list clean
Domain Restrictions & Security
Add an extra layer of security to your sites by restricting which domains API keys can take screenshots of. Perfect for client work, external integrations, or preventing misuse if your API key is compromised.
Unrestricted Sites
- Can screenshot any domain
- Maximum flexibility
- Perfect for personal projects
- Default behavior
No domain restrictions
Domain-Restricted Sites
- Only specific domains allowed
- Enhanced security
- Perfect for client work
- Prevents misuse
example.com, blog.example.com
How domain restrictions work
Subdomain matching:
When you add “example.com” to allowed domains, it automatically includes all subdomains.
example.com → Allows:
- ✓ example.com
- ✓ www.example.com
- ✓ blog.example.com
- ✓ api.example.com
Multiple domains:
Add multiple domains separated by commas for complex projects.
Allowed domains:
client.com, staging.client.com, clientblog.net
Perfect for creators and agencies
Domain restrictions are especially valuable when working with clients or building public integrations. Even if your API key is exposed, it can only be used for the domains you've explicitly allowed.
Perfect use cases:
- • Client website projects
- • Public app integrations
- • Team collaboration
- • Third-party services
Security benefits:
- • Prevents unauthorized use
- • Limits damage if key is leaked
- • Client confidence in security
- • Easier compliance requirements
Allowed - exact domain match
✅ Site: "client-project" (allowed: client.com) URL: "https://client.com/about" → SUCCESS
Allowed - subdomain included
✅ Site: "client-project" (allowed: client.com) URL: "https://blog.client.com/posts" → SUCCESS
Blocked - domain not in allowed list
❌ Site: "client-project" (allowed: client.com) URL: "https://competitor.com" → 403 FORBIDDEN
